The Bow Stackers were in Wednesday, April 13, 2011 Union Leader! Great picture of them and their ‘equipment’. The boys enjoyed talking with the reporter and were very excited to tell their story.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you all for attending last night nights BBQ at the Bow Memorial School Tech. Ed Fair!! We had some great cookers, Mr. and Mrs. Kurtz, some wonderful servers, parents of team members, and some awesome ladies at the bake sale, Mrs. Minnon and Mrs. Prowse. It was great to see all the faces of all our friends and fellow DI students. We had a great success last night and hope you all enjoyed the delicious food. Thank you, The Bow Stackers
Again, Thank you to our wonderful community of Bow,NH. We had a nice turn out at our Uno’s night in Concord, NH; it will continue tomorrow with lunch orders by the great teachers in our town!
Don’t forget Saturday, May 7th is our spaghetti dinner and silent auction. We have many great items that have been donated by local business and people. We have NASCAR tickets, Anjou Hair Salon, Rye Airfield, Angelina’s, Richard’s Bistro, Weed’s Automotive…the list is long and extensive! You will have to swing by the Bow Community Building Saturday night from 5:30 to 7:30 to see all that we have.
Happy Rainy Day to All!!! One more week until we leave for Tenn.. I can’t believe it is almost upon us. What a wonderful turn out we had for the spaghetti dinner and silent auction last Saturday night. The food was great, child entertainment was fun and exciting and the auction bidding was hot. We had several items where people bid very close to the actual value. The Bow Stackers are truly on thier way and it is in a large part to the generosity of the Bow community. Thank you all.
Hard to believe but we leave in 10 minutes !!!! This has been an amazing ride and I can’t wait to see the boys perform. They have worked very hard and deserve a large CONGRATULTIONS for all of thier hard work. Don’t forget you can watch opening and closing ceremonies online, type in globalfinals into your browser and click on ‘live feed’ on the upper right hand side of the screen. Opening ceremonies are Wednesday 7:30 to 9:30pm and closing ceremonies are Saturday from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Thank you again to everyone for thier support!
GO BOW STACKERS!
Yeah!! We all made it back safely. What an amazing week we had in Tennessee. The University of Tennessee site was great. It was large and fit everyone perfectly. It was certainly interesting to be back in a dorm. The kids had a great time and felt good about their team challenge and the instant challenge. Finally they can talk to us about the instant challenges. I didn’t think you could keep a bunch of ten year olds quiet for that long…they always seem to be able to blab birthday present information. The 8 foot tower and pool of water was interesting to say the least. No one tripped on spills and they were able to move all the materials except the can of cat food. Pin trading was a world wind. It seemed to happen so fast and then off to another person. With a little coxing the kids figured out fast how to introduce themselves and ask what challenge the other person was doing. We learned that you can make your own team pins, that may be a thought for next year?? Well off to laundry. Thank you to all, you truly helped make this trip happen for the boys.
