Given the 6 challenges and 3 age competition groups, New Hampshire teams snagged top 15 slots 14 times, and top 10 slots 9 times - among the more consitsant creative problem solvers in the world!

Most teams were competing with between 60 to 80 teams.

Londonderry Middle School was called up in front of the 16,000+ in attendance to receive the DaVinci Award, given for having a unique approach to a solution, for risk taking, and/or for outstanding creativity (not skill or talent). The appraisers cited "this team's highly-refined humor and elegant script brought the concept of a music video to a whole new level. The synthesis of the music and the lyrics, their attention to detail in the scenery, and consistent quality overall made this rendition truly memorable."

In addition to the five Challenges most of you know, NH-DI has been piloting the new projectOUTREACH component of the program. We are sending our first teams to Global Finals! Learn more about projectOUTREACH here.

 

NH Teams can advance to Global Finals and compete with other teams .

They will be joined by the CONSTRUCTION CHALLENGE team from New Hampshire that has won at the Boston Regionals and will compete at Global Finals! We will be represented by Monadnock Regional High School, Swanzey, NH and managed by Jerry Kuhn!

Destination ImagiNation is a non-profit organization that features kid-powered challenges to teach the building blocks of innovation: Creativity, Teamwork and Problem Solving!

Most important, DI is fun!

This season, the Destination ImagiNation projectOUTREACH Challenge invites teams to “Take Charge!” Teams of middle school, high school, and university-aged students will seek to increase their peers’ physical and mental health by rallying them to eat better and become more physically active.

They will design projects that mobilize their peers to take action and increase the in-school availability and consumption of the Four Food Groups: low-fat & fat-free milk and milk products, vegetables, fruits, whole grains.

To execute projects successfully, teams must manage their issue-based initiatives and track their progress and results using qualitative and quantitative data. projectOUTREACH teams will demonstrate and illustrate their process and results during the tournament phase of the project, which involves a Presentation, Exhibit, Portfolio, and problem-solving Simulation to be evaluated by Appraisers at NH-DI Affiliate Tournament.

Successful teams will advance to Destination ImagiNation Global Finals.
