Over 100 Team Managers Trained

Londonderry Training Kick-Starts Teams

Over 100 Team Managers from all over New Hampshire were learning new creative problem solving skills to bring back to their teams.

"People solve problems differently. The more tools we can equip our Team Managers with, the better they can facilitate their student teams to develop innovative solutions to their Challenge", according to NH-DI Affiliate Director, Jill Schoonmaker.

New Team Managers Trained

Focusing creativity doesn't have to be like herding cats.

42 new Destination ImagiNation volunteer Team Managers from around the state learned this at Tilton's Winnisquam Middle School on Saturday. The training helped new team managers facilitate the team, without interfering in the team's solution.

"This is the ultimate "kids hands-on, adults hands-off" program according to New Hampshire Destination ImagiNation Executive Director Jill Schoonmaker. "Their solutions may look like a skit, but are really well researched and planned solutions to complex Challenges". During competition starting in March, the team solutions will be scored in as many as 20 areas. Scoring - oversimplified - is based on teamwork, innovation, research, execution and calculated risk taking.

All Team Manager training is Saturday, December 2nd at Londonderry Middle School.
