The team from
Timberlane Regional High School gave an outstanding performance
Thursday morning.
Sarah, Julie,
Jen, Kim, Sarah, and Amy had just 30 minutes to turn their limited
supplies into props and costumes for their unique skit. Tlehe
result was a humorous portrayal of Egyptian Queen Nephrititi visiting
Easter Island to dance with the Russian ballet. Many researched
facts were interspersed within the performance.
One character
had a battle with her conscience acted out with guardian angel
and devil sock puppets. The girls made good use of their materials
to create a beautiful oceanside backdrop, a cardboard tutu for
the ballerina and duct tape ballet shoes. Toss in some puns from
a hoarse horse and it was a hilarious show.
The team is
enjoying their time here at d2k.1 although it is bittersweet.
Much of the team has been together since elementary school but
they will be going their separate ways as they head off to college
next year. We know that their positive experiences both here at
Global Finals and over the years will help them throughout their
lives.
Congratulations
team!!!
