NOW ON TO GLOBALS!
The University
of Tennessee gave a warm welcome to the Mascoma Valley Regional
High School as they took us back into the age of dinosaurs!
A world crisis
appeared to be on the horizon as the Egg Lord attempted to steal
eggs from these valuable prehistoric creatures in an attempt to
make them "history" This Evil EggLord considered looking in Tennessee
for any eggs that he could find.
The teams improv
item was a calendar which was used quite cleverly in a number of
ways, including a map, a wrap on a puppet, and the pigs face on
the front of the map as an "egg lord".
The team created
dinosaur costumes added color and visual appeal to the set as these
clever dino's wrestled with the Egg Lord" to try and catch him in
the act. The Egg Lord carried on a two way conversation with a puppet
dinosaur that was hatched from an egg. The use of an overhead projector
served as a TV to inform the public about this world crisis problem.
The sound effects of two of the team members playing kazoos represented
the speed of the villain egg lord trying to escape - all caught
on the nightly news station. However, all was not lost in this endeavor
to catch the thief. In the end, these superhero dinos saved the
day.
This seven-member
team from Mascoma High School in Canaan includes team members Sawyer
Broadley, Megan Darling, Kevin McKinley, David Plumley, Katie Serviss,
Evn Tomeny, and Casey Waterman. You can always count on this High
School team to come up with some very creative solutions, costumes,
and scenery. This team has participated in NH-DI for a number of
years.
Congratulations
go to Mascoma for a great and entertaining presentation at Globals
- D2k.1.
