New Hampshire Destination ImagiNation at
D2K.2 Global Finals 2002
May 22 - 25, Knoxville Tennessee

Destination ImagiNation Globals Site What are the Challenges?
Friday May 24 at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals
Friday was another beautiful Knoxville day - sunshine, light cooling breeze and temperatures in the low 80's.

This year, Destination ImagiNation continued another tradition at Global Finals: Graduation.

Some students actually miss their graduation at their High School for DI Globals. (If you went to Globals, you would know why!).

Souhegan High School (Amherst, NH) senior Samantha Allen (right) receives her creative problem solving diploma from Destination ImagiNation president Bob Purifico (left) and special guest and Creative Problem Solving authority Dr. Don Treffinger. About 170 students received their diploma, and are now ready to join the DIA Assn (or Destination ImagiNation Alumni Association).

Meanwhile, middle and elementary school graduation was held elsewhere on campus. Receptions followed both.

Pins continued to be traded, performances continued to amaze - and we have over 200 kids having a time to remember.

The stories will be great, and everyone will have a tough time sleeping tonight! The last day of competition is ahead, as is closing ceremonies (and awards).

The truth is, these teams - as are the teams who competed at regionals are all winners. They worked as a team. They innovated. They were creative. They learned there is more than one way to be right, and it frequently works best as collaboration.

They are a team.
