A busy day with a lot of performances, and a new chant: the echo of "NH" with a response of "DI".

At opening ceremonies, DI President Bob Purifico started the teams with saying "WE ARE" and the responsive "DI" screamed back from the 18,000 in attendance. Team NH has developed

their own version, which has been slowly spreading through the venues.

"NH" one group will call, "DI" the audience will respond. In some cases, this was several hundred people backing our kids!

Simply, a good day with a lot of amazing performances itemized on the team pages, with updates coming as we get them. Sure it was sunny until the 3:30 PM downpour ... but that ended ... but the good times didn't.

At dinnertime, the chants of NH-DI started again, as did a number of other state chants which made for a great time for dinner... unless you wanted quiet. Pinkerton Academy started these chants that would later net them a rare Spirit of Destination ImagiNation award.

... And they took their traditional ups and downs (right).

Dr. Don Treffinger, the man who literally "wrote the book" on creative problem solving was the keynote speaker.
