Pinkerton Academy team wins at State Finals (above).

It was really cool this year to have two new members on our team, especially since neither had been in DI Before. Integrating the new members into the team provided new talents including artistic abilities - but it's how Cliff, Steve, Johan, Colleen, Zak, Dan and Joe came together that made the difference.

"The biggest surprise", said Team Manager Pam DesMarais "was that the team decided to choose a technical [rather than theatrical] challenge." That showed tremendous growth for the team, as well as individually. The risk-taking paid off, making their senior year at PA something very special.

Pinkterton Academy team members pose after winning a Spirit of DI award for spreading outstanding goodwill, spirit to both New Hampshire teams and others worldwide.

The award read:
"This team has attended almost all of the New Hampshire team challenges, including elementary through high school, even the 8 AM teams. Their energy and enthusiasm drew audiences into their support of New Hampshire with their chants of "NH, DI!, New Hampshire Go!" They strategically sat themselves in the audience to insure more audience participation. And if you attended a performance they visited you would see how contagious their enthusiasm and support can be. The true spirit of "DI" came out loud and clear."
