"The
secret is working as a whole group", according to team member
Quinn. With Quinn is Anjelica, Will,Tess, and Parker, a group of
4th and 5th graders from Wilkins Elementary School.
"I
learned lots of improv techniques. I learned that teamwork is a
VERY important part of DI in all challenges", said Will.
Parker
claims to be able to now "make anything out of newspaper and
duct tape. I made new friends by being on the team. I hope to do
it again next year with the same team".
Watching
this team together, you know it's all true, and they're in for an
amazing experience. Anjelica " learned how many things you
could do with everyday objects". And Tess drove it home: "I
learned how important it is to work as a team and to have fun! I
think going to Globals will be a great, very fun time! Our team
gets to represent New Hampshire, give another wonderful performance,
and have a grand time together in Tennessee! "
Team
managers Craig Richardson and Brenda Ryan have had the privilege
of watching five very different individuals grow into a single,
cohesive team of performers. At first, the children's goal was to
finish among the top teams at the Merrimack regional tournament,
and perhaps advance to the NH state tournament.
