Justin, Andy, Benjie, Robbie and Mickey a.k.a
"The DI Dudes", are returning to Global Finals!

Three of our team members have been together since 2nd grade, the other two joined in 4th grade. We all love doing DI™ and every year we do a more technical challenge. This is because we love building things, and we also like taking things apart.

We’re really excited to be going back to Globals again this year; it is an awesome experience.

GLOBAL FINALS UPDATE!

Our challenge this year was to design and build a vehicle with a technical energy source that will transport at least one team member around a triangular track. The vehicle also had to be design to overcome several obstacles. This year we based our vehicle around scooter parts that we bought on eBay.

Yeah dude totally!

Then we put together half of a bicycle and half of a baby stroller to create a frame. Our vehicle is really cool and is very reliable. We also made a really cool hoist out of 2x4’s, rope and some old pulleys. Then we decorated it as a drive-through window at a restaurant and it can pick-up the vehicle.

The performance opened in Electroville. Mr. Electron – the world’s greatest electron – is busy doing his job, circling the nucleus and keeping Electroville functioning smoothly.

The 7’ nucleus is a sculpture of Mr. Electron’s wife, Mrs. Electron. He is really “attracted” to her. But the serenity of Electroville is disrupted when it is invaded by the notorious “Adam Bomb”. Adam Bomb will do anything to try and stop Mr. Electron from traveling around the nucleus. He and his side-kick, Positron Dude, have several sneaky tricks up their sleeves to try and throw Mr. Electron off track. Positron Dude is “positive” that their plans will work. But Mr. Electron has his defenders as well. Neutron Man and Proton Boy are the heroes who come to the rescue and help keep Mr. Electron spinning freely. The entire village of Electroville comes alive in the play with bright colors and lights. After our heroes save Electroville the audience is treated to an original jazz composition by our musical group “The Fantastic Fusion Trio”.

Yeah dude totally!
