Rye Elementary School - DIzzy Derby

Rye Elementary School

GLOBALS UPDATE

Identical in their yellow t-shirts and baseball attire, it was easy to see the theme of Rye Elementary School’s skit. Set in Fenway Park, an announcer states, “it’s the bottom of the first and…” well, you know how it goes! The team’s vehicle does laps around the track, disguised as a baseball player. While David Ortiz repairs his knee, and the vehicle is transformed, the sports casters entertain the crowd with some break dancing! Cleverly, the team reenacted the seventh inning stretch, gave autographs, and even held an interview with Manny Ramirez. Switching off players through their obstacle course, the team also traded drivers.

The Rye Elementary School Dizzy Derby team did a great job presenting their original skit. New Hampshire teams from all over, and even Massachusetts and Maine DI teams got in on the bonding over the local favorite team, the Red Sox. Rye did a wonderful job representing their state, town and school as they completed many laps around the track, and pulled off a humorous skit as well. A job well done to Rye Elementary School’s Dizzy Derby team!!
