GLOBALS UPDATE!

After researching twelve modes of transportation all year and figuring out ways to use common household items as props, the team was only given one half hour to come up with their skit. Members of the North Hampton Elementary School Improv team came on to the stage wearing not much more than scraps of cardboard, duct tape, and fabric (and their street clothes of course) but wowed the crowd in their humorous performance. With only thirty minutes to prepare, the team came up with an extremely original skit. Combining human-provided transportation, a huge man eating lizard, Viking worship ceremonies, and an invisible breakable vase, the team told a story of discovery and friendship.

A group of tourists and travelers alike decides to search for Viking worship sites with different motives- tourism, interest, and fame! While upon landing they found a rare ‘breakable vase’ artifact, a local soon entertained them with a rock-n-roll song about Vikings, dedicated to Jimi Hendrix no less. Jimi Hendrix would have been proud to hear it, as all of the other team members backed him up with body percussion. They then encountered another Viking, who only spoke in Gibberish. One of the travelers thankfully was able to translate Gibberish, and discovered that the local warned them of a huge man-eating lizard ahead in their path. Using the logic that ‘Vikings can’t be trusted’, the travelers continued, and astonishingly did indeed encounter a massive lizard. The lizard was calmed easily however, as it only wanted a friend. To get back to safety and home, the team created a transporting device out of string and a movable paper towel tube. While it was just the first time at Globals for all of the members of the North Hampton team, they performed a well polished and humorous skit.
