Meet Nicholas, Marty, Lindsay, Kim, Kristin and Kristin as they return to Destination ImagiNation® Global Finals!
This team of seven eighth graders have been creatively solving challenges in DI™ since they were in second grade. They all enjoy performing for an audience and writing their own scripts. The costumes and props are the fun part of the challenge with everyone pitching in to add their own touch. Technical elements add the spice for this team. It is always a challenge to see what will be built this year and how many tries will it take before they have it where they want it. The inventions never come out the way they were drawn the first time. Sounds like a Thomas Edison story. With full DI dedication these team members are involved in many other activities at school and in their communities. They are truly amazing!
Thanks Mom and Dad! Kristin, Lindsay, Alex, Kim, Marty and Nick wanted to say a big thank you to all of their supporters, especially their families! We couldn't have done it without you guys. Whether it was candy sales, trips to the store, rides to practice, great snacks or any of the other things you have all done for us we wanted you to know how much we appreciate you.
Finally, GO TEAM NH! We will be there to cheer you all on! Let's Rock DI Globals this year!
More information about this team will be posted here when it becomes available!

GLOBALS FINALS UPDATE
This team of eighth graders has been together since second grade, and it showed in their ‘fin-tastic’ long term presentation. Londonderry Middle School’s Sudden Serendipity team came on stage and hypnotized the audience with their beautiful props and scenery before they even started to present their solution. Completely decked out in face and body makeup and shiny costuming, the time prepared to give their solution.
The skit began under the ocean with a pillaging crab, gold-crazed fish and forgetful octopus. Very unique, the octopus’s good/bad combination conscience demonstrated originality and creativity. Fooling the guard in pretending they are the cleaning service, the crab and octopus make it into Starla the starfish’s castle to steal her treasure. With a guest appearance by Alexander ‘Clam-Shell’, inventor of the telephone, the octopus is faced with saving the coral reef, or finding the treasure. He decides to save the reef, but each character shares their motives in a song, as the letters “RECYCLE” are placed on top of the castle.
As one of the most colorful and insightful presentations, Londonderry Middle School gave the audience a highly detailed show. The team’s machine worked fluidly, ‘sucking, sifting, and pouring’. While the machine could either dig for treasure or clean the coral reef, it worked well in both aspects. The acrostic “RECYCLE” song decided which way the machine would go, and the octopus’ good conscience won. Amazing job Londonderry High School!!!
