Infant Jesus School

Meet the Kidz Rulz team from Infant Jesus School, Nashua:
Katie, Andrew, Rebecca, Gabrielle and Ethan!

The team had most fun creating their candy scenery . . . and eating the leftover construction pieces.

If there is a Global truth, it is that kids like candy. And teams at Globals cheer for teams with candy... and they loved this member of Team New Hampshire!

Anyone who's ever played CandyLand knows what happens when you're steps away from winning the game--you draw one of the picture cards that sends you all the way back to the beginning. That is the "kids' rule" that the Infant Jesus School Destination Imagination team sought to explore in its Kidz Rulz challenge. During a game of CandyLand among friends, one poor sport player stomps off in frustration as his hopes of winning are dashed by his draw of the dreaded "double heart" card.

Not unlike Alice's adventure's in Wonderland, the player finds himself in a strange but sweet and whimsical world, where chocolate rivers flow and lollipop forests grow. Through some convoluted conversations with none other than King Candy, Princess Frostine, Gloppy the Swamp Monster, and Gingy, the game piece he abandoned on the board, he learns that not everything is as it seems, particularly when his efforts to get something sweet to eat off of the candy castle are thwarted by a gumdrop mountain that moves into his path (because, as he discovers, the laws of nonsense, not physics, rule CandyLand). By the end of his journey, the poor sport kid learns a sweet lesson: quitting before seeing something through to the end can cause lots of problems.

And just like CandyLand, this was loved by all ages!
