Welcome the team representing the Marlborough School of Marlborough, NH and the Keene School district / SAU 29:Tara, Zach, Alex, Chad, Amber and Makayla! So what do these 6th through 8th graders like to do? "I loved dumpster diving", Zach said and all the team members agreed. You really had to be there to understand. Alex and Chad can not wait to meet people from other countries doing the same challenges at Globals. Tara said her favorite memory was the expression on her team mate's faces when their names were announced at the state tournament. "It was a magical moment we have waited years to hear. I also loved seeing the looks on all the parents faces that came to support us. I know they were excited for us but then I think that it hit them that we had to raise tons of money". Makayla said she will never forget the look on her team's face when their structure of balsa wood and glue, weighing only 0.4 of an ounce, held 200 pounds! |
