Londonderry High School

Meet the team representing Londonderry High School: Leah, Devin, Jenna and Morgan!

This team is actually made up of members from Londonderry High School, Londonderry Middle School, Hampstead Academy.

From the team: This may seem like a lot of work, but we had a blast just being with each other. We are more than just a team, we're best friends. We trust each other and confide in each other and even when we are done with DI for the year, that doesn't mean we're done getting together to just have fun! To keep from going crazy we listened to the radio while we worked. Seltzer kept us hydrated. We would like to say a major THANK YOU to our team manager, Carla. She always pushed us to do our best, even when it drove us crazy and we weren't very receptive. We wouldn't be in the position we are in now without her. Also to our families to for driving us to meetings, basically everyday, and being there for us every step of the way.

This team had a good audience, and the support of Team New Hampshire! Always a plus - and they reacted in a great way!

Peter the Great, an arrogant, self-centered man, has just been crowned czar of Russia. He decides to go to war with Turkey to gain more land. When his troops are losing the war, Peter needs help. With the guidance of weak Russia and a Russian doll (bizarre happening), he travels to Europe. When he returns, Peter the Great has new ideas for the war and ideas to westernize Russia. Ever since Peter was crowned czar Russia has been pushed around. But after the hat transforms Russia, she stands up to Peter. Russia ends up winning the war against Turkey and Peter the Great learns a new lesson.

This team brought together the elements of history and cultures with DI that made this a fantastic performance!
