Welcome the team from Danville Elementary School! Meet Kyle, Benjamin, Tyler and Frances!

The team had a lot of fun this year. "Making planes", said Frances was the best part, while Tyler said "[making] the elevator" was. Both are key parts of the team's Challenge. Ben said "The whole thing was a Challenge", and Kyle added that it was "putting this all together in not much time, but we did it!" And they did!
So what was the best part of the year? Kyle spoke of a memory that will last with the team forever. "Seeing the face on Ben when we thought we wouldn't make it to States [Finals] and the MC was calling the school that made first place and they said 'Danville Elementary - You are going to States" He went ballistic when our team was called!" The team didn't say so, but perhaps they all did.
Now this team once again puts together their skills in technical design and construction, innovation and design process, mathematics, experimentation, theater arts and strategic planning, all required in their selected challenge, DIrect Flight.
They are heading off to Destination ImagiNation Global Finals!
This Challenge requires the technical development of a multilevel elevator that will launch aircraft into specific landing zones. Which zones and special elements the teams must do are randomly chosen. A strong story must be going on at the same time as the technical events, and it must be cohesive.
Danville Elementary School brought its 'A Game' to Global Finals as they took to performance with a large group of supporters from Team New Hampshire and around the world.
The performance section's plot was about four pirates on a stranded island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and they use cannons from their ship to launch these flares so that airplanes can see it and come and rescue them.
Well done Danville Elementary!
