Welcome the team from North Hampton School team, also known as CAMMO5! Meet Carlyn, Angus, Marisa, Marybeth, and Ollie - CAMMO 5!

What was challenged this team on the way to Global Finals? "The most challenging part of DI is probably thinking up the craziest story for your presentation, but having to make sure all of your viewers understand it!", according to Carlyn. Angus thought it was "was finding the traditions, and trying to incorporate them into our performance."
" You get really nervous and it is hard to do all of the right things that you have been practicing", according to Marisa. "It is very challenging to think right at the moment you are there. It is also really challenging to come up with a good and creative idea for a skit idea".
If Improv looks easy, imagine their Challenge which requires not only improv, story development, research, social studies, geography, teamwork, design (really fast design) and innovation - and then try and be humorous too! As one of the top teams in the state in the Challenge, this team of seventh and eight graders will be heading to Global Finals to compete with teams from all 50 states and over 17 countries!
Which leaves another challenging element that Marybeth recalls: "Making our skit under 6 minutes!"
The venue for the improv at the Knoxville Convention Center was outstanding, and brought in a great Team New Hampshire audience, as well as great supportive people from around the US and around the World!
The team took the stage to massive applause and started.
Grandpa and his granddaughter were on vacation in a foreign country and come across at stranded tour guide whose hot air balloon has broken. They ask the guide what he is doing and he says he just fixed his balloon and will be going on an adventure and would they like to come along. They visited 3 different countries and come across different traditions in each country. With the help of the traditionator, they learn some good info and then end up back where they started.
The North Hampton CAMMO 5 team was outstanding, and the audience made sure the team knew it! Outstanding job team!
