Meet the team from Rye Elementary School (Rye/New Castle Schools): Logan, Mark, Drew
Jonathan, Brian, and Ryan!

These challenges are not as easy as they look - especially in the widely contented CSI:DI Challenge. " It was hard to put every part of the challenge together in the skit", according to Brian. Some parts of the year were both fun and hard, like " coming up with the theme and tool names", said Ryan. Logan thought it was "remembering our lines", and Drew said it was "agreeing on team name".

The team name, the DaVinci's, which is appropriate as this team took home Destination ImagiNation's highest award reserved for having a unique approach to a solution, for risk taking, and/or for outstanding creativity.

They are heading off to Destination ImagiNation Global Finals!

 

It was a great day in Knoxville for the DaVinci's team, also known as Rye Elementary School!

The DIvincis present "Cinderblockerella", based on a "tool story". It is the case of the stolen lead slipper.

This team took a risk by portraying their shadowy character with a shadow effect of a puppet. In addition, the personalities of the team members were a wonderful fit for the tools that they portrayed. The team showed exceptional creativity by blending a familiar fairy tale into a new tool-and-construction themed story filled with puns, wit and humor.

It was a great show of Granite State creativity on the Globals stage in front of people, very literally, from all over the world!
