Bryant Academy, Claremont

Welcome Giselle, Kyrsha, Shawn, Emmy and Nicholas, members of the Bryant Academy team competing at Globals in the Switch! Challenge, Middle Level.

This has been an outstanding year for this team.

Emmy described performing at Regionals as "an adrenaline rush that have never felt before. Seeing the other kids perform let me know that I just have to be myself". The team, "just being themselves" paired with good planning helped them advance through Regionals, State Finals and now to the stage of Destination ImagiNation Global Finals!

Emmy adds,"DI is the best program I've gotten myself into. I love everything about it."

Giselle enjoyed the activities and performance at State finals, as well as appreciating the support the team had from other schools as well. "I had seen some of the old appraisers from the Regional Tournament and they were very nice. I had a very fun time, it was the best time ever".

"It felt awesome, really exciting to be in first place and see all of the plays and different things you could do", according to Nick. "We actually get to go to Globals and see all the cool things, structures and ideas that other people did".

Of course, there are people from around the world waiting to see what this team has done as well!

More from Global Finals, Knoxville Tennessee...

It was a great day at Globals for this Claremont team!

Their solution to the challenge was well received by the US and International audience at Global Finals.

The plot was well done and resonated well with the audience.

A very hungry mother dragon comes upon a princess and her maiden picking flowers. The dragon decides they look like a tasty dinner for her and her babies but the Princess convinces her to take her gold and silver (the weights) to buy food for her family rather then eat them. The gold and silver is weighed out on a scale (the structure) and the dragon is appeased by the amount. She, and her family go back into the woods very rich and the Princess and her maiden live happily ever after.

The dragon was outstanding, and caught everyone's attention! WELL DONE BRYANT ACADEMY!
