Lincoln Street School, Exeter

Meet Eric, Tucker, Connor, Ethan, Will and Adira! They will be repenting New Hampshire at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals in the Obstacles of Course! Challenge.

The Lincoln Street School team "Hat Madness" was given the nod to go to the DI Global finals at the state tournament on March 29. This group of six third graders picked an extremely difficult challenge for their age level, Obstacles, of Course, and won first place at the regional tournament and third place at the state tournament. Although 2 other teams from Lincoln Street School have advanced to the Global Finals in past years, Hat Madness is the first ever third grade team to go to the Global Finals from Exeter.

The six teammates and their Team Managers, worked very hard since last October to achieve those first place and third place finishes. More important , the kids learned a great deal about teamwork, creativity, problem solving and other valuable skills. They have already decided to be a team again next year.

The Appraisers enjoyed watching Hat Madness at both the state and regional competitions. Some of their comments were how well the team must have practiced to execute their challenge solutions, how much fun they were having and how the skit and obstacle course were very creative and interesting.

The team is presently in fundraising mode, as most DI teams are at the moment, and they are enjoying the experience. They are also counting down the minutes until they reach Tennessee.
